Obituary for Donna Jean Everly
Donna Jean Everly, age 84, of Caldwell, Ohio, died Tuesday, December 25, 2018, at SE Ohio Regional Medical Center in Cambridge. She was born November 23, 1934, in Guernsey County, daughter of the late Edward and Rosa Green Secrest. She was a graduate of the Washington Technical School's LPN program, and she was employed as an LPN at Summit Acres Nursing Home in Caldwell for many years. She was a member of St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Fulda, and she loved to work crossword puzzles and play cards, especially euchre.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Virgil D. Everly; one grandson, Jason Seebach; one sister, Ethel Norman; and one brother, Ed Secrest.
Surviving are her children, Virgilene R. (Ray) Crock of Dexter City, Donna D. (Rick) Saling of Caldwell, and Lorrene R. (Paul) Seebach of Dexter City; one sister, Doris Chalfant of Byesville; 4 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call Thursday, December 27, 2018, from 4-8PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home in Caldwell, where the funeral service will be observed Friday, December 28th at 11AM with Pastor George Clark officiating. Burial will follow at Center Free Methodist Church Cemetery in Sarahsville.
