Obituary for Gayle F. Matjunas
Gayle F. Matjunas, age 65, of Lewisville, Ohio, died Saturday, November 18, 2017, at Marietta Memorial Hospital. She was born September 21, 1952, in Cuyahoga Falls, daughter of the late Roger and Mary Morris Rossi. She was a 1970 graduate of Cuyahoga Falls High School, and she was employed by Baker and Sons Equipment. Along with her husband, she owned and operated Perry’s Carpet Ranch for many years. Gayle was a 4-H advisor in Monroe County and she was a member of the Monroe County Horsemen’s Association. She was active in her daughter’s school activities, sports, and barrel racing, and she truly enjoyed being a part of the Noble and Monroe County communities. She was a Christian, and a beloved mother, wife, sister, and friend.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Perry Lee Matjunas, whom she married February 23, 1974, and who died June 12, 2012.

Surviving are one daughter, Melissa M. (David) Smith of Gilroy, California; one brother, Rob (Laurie) Rossi of San Luis Obispo, California; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial gathering will be observed Saturday, November 25, 2017, from 12PM-2PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society at www.cancer.org or to P.O. Box 22478, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, 73123.
