Obituary for Wanda Jean Iams
Wanda Jean Iams, age 82, of Caldwell, Ohio, formerly of Massillon, died Sunday, December 30, 2019, at Summit Acres Nursing Home in Caldwell. She was born November 4, 1936, in Massillon, daughter of the late Cash H. "Jeff" and Goldie J. Fogle Iams. She resided with her parents until she moved to Summit Acres Nursing Home, where she lived for over 20 years. She was very active at Summit Acres, where she loved playing bingo and was the former president of the Resident Council. She also donated her hair to Locks of Love. Wanda was a gentle spirit who bore her hardships with grace.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by two brothers, Cash H. Iams, Jr., and George R. (Joan) Iams; and one niece, Nancy Ream.
Surviving are her sister-in-law, Patty Iams of Massillon; nieces and nephews, Debra Reale, Gregory Iams, Bradley Iams, Leslie Kuntz, Michael Iams, and Phillip Iams; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
Friends may call Saturday, January 6, 2019, from 1-2PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home in Caldwell, where the funeral service will follow visitation at 2PM with Pastor George Clark officiating. Burial will follow at Olive Cemetery in Caldwell.
